Terms of service
These are the terms for using Build The Bid. We deliberately keep them short and readable. Questions? Feel free to get in touch.
1. The service
Build The Bid is an online subscription service that lets tradespeople create, manage and generate quotes as PDFs. Each account belongs to one company with one login. You remain responsible for the content and accuracy of your quotes; the bundled catalog prices are indicative.
2. Subscription and payment
The subscription costs €20.00 a month or €216.00 a year (10% off), excluding VAT. You pay through our payment partner Stripe (iDEAL, card or direct debit); the subscription renews automatically per month or per year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. New accounts can try it free for 30 days once, without payment details; without payment details the subscription simply stops after the trial. Extras, such as Planning & employees, appear as a separate line on the same invoice and you switch them on and off yourself. When your subscription ends, your account switches to read-only: you can view everything and download existing PDFs, but you cannot create or change anything.
3. Fair use and extra quotes
The subscription is intended for normal business use. After the first 12 months of your subscription, a fair-use limit of 25 created quotes per ISO week applies (Europe/Amsterdam timezone).
For every week in which you create more than 25 quotes, €0.10 is charged per extra quote. Formula per week: max(0, quotes created − 25) × €0.10. This overage is aggregated per calendar month and invoiced separately.
The count is based on quotes created: deleting drafts does not lower the count.
4. Referral rewards
Anyone who registers with a valid referral code receives 20% off their first payment. The referrer receives 2 extra months of subscription once the referred user's first subscription is assigned. A code is only valid if the referrer has ever had a subscription themselves.
5. Liability
We strive to provide a reliable service, but Build The Bid is provided as is. We are not liable for indirect damages or for errors in quotes created with the tool. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in subscription fees over the past 12 months.
6. Changes
We may change these terms. For significant changes we will inform you in advance by email or in the app. If you continue to use the service after the effective date, the new terms apply.
